DIRECTOR’S BLESSINGS

New Way Group of Institutions had established its first school in 1974.
Since then, we have seen tremendous changes in the education sector. Schools now face powerful challenges in imparting quality education.I strongly feel those who are not educationists should stop meddling in this sector. They place all sorts of obstacles in our path. Educationalists should alone decide all aspects of this field. The biggest challenge we face is imparting proper discipline. Today’s youth exhibits a rebellious streak and it is not easy to discipline them. Unfortunately, a majority of parents under estimate the importance of ‘Discipline.’ What should we do with the students who refuse to study? What should we do with those who are mischief mongers?I am not a supporter of physical punishment. At the same time it is important to bring these students on the right path. They are mentally immature to understand the bad consequences of their own actions.

The only path open for us is to provide them with proper counseling. This is what we are doing in our institution. But we also expect parents to shoulder their responsibilities toward their children. Parents have to co-operate with the school authorities and do, as they are guided.

Only then we can provide a better future for their children.

“Man must evolve, for all human conflict, a method which rejects revenge, aggression and retaliation. The formation of such a method is love.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

I am saddened by the incidents of violence in the schools. Schools are advised to put more locks, more CCTV cameras and more security. But I believe there is no lock in the world which can not be broken if one so desires and CCTV cameras though good but can be manipulated. So what do we do in this hopeless situation?

My advise is to turn to Nature and God. Moral values, personal care and belief in loving God is the answer. Love for animals, trees and birds is the answer. It inspires a greatness and a righteousness in each of us, that prevents us from disappointments and heal hurt. It creates in us love and not hate. That’s the answer.

Our focus is to develop our students and global citizens, with tolerance, respect and appreciation of diverse cultures, religion and appreciation for life. Our mission through New Way School is to provide catalytic impulses to every child to stretch his inherent learning competencies through a self discovery process.

Through this magazine I want to inform the students and parents that our school has started a programme called “Samvedana-Ek-Koshish” through which we extend help to financially weak but deserving sports student to further his talent in sports, support old Age Homes, adopt stray animals and sponsor animals in the zoo etc. We want to inculcate the value of ‘Humanity’ in your students, I encourage parents and students to be part of this mission.

With growing academic competitions, we are aware that students need to strive for academic excellence as well. We have stared remedial classes, after school, in the school premises itself, for academically week students, free of cost.

My best wishes for the coming year.

Every child is a seed which has the potential to grow if its nourished with love and care under the right guidance.

In the current challenging times, it’s essential that children should not only excel in academics but should develop courtesy, discipline, smart personality, social sensitivity, as well as imbibe the traditional values and culture of our country.

A child entering the school is tender, impressionable and is like a soft clay to be moulded in any shape the plotter (teacher) desires. Childhood is the best time to lay the foundation of the core values, essential for the over all development of the future citizen of tomorrow.

I believe love and compassion is innate in each person. It needs to be recognized and encouraged from the early stage of life. Teaching children show love and compassion to animals, birds and deprived children and to be sensitive to our environment is what we aim to accomplish through primary education in our school.

I hope and pray,  that our school strives to achieve these goals. My sincere best wishes for the coming year.
